Esto es seg\u00fan un estudio que examina los informes realizados por los compa\u00f1eros de trabajo de 202 cirujanos de dos instalaciones m\u00e9dicas acad\u00e9micas.<\/p>\n

Los investigadores tambi\u00e9n estudiaron los registros m\u00e9dicos de 13,653 pacientes para obtener informaci\u00f3n sobre cualquier dificultad m\u00e9dica o quir\u00fargica que ocurriera a m\u00e1s tardar 30 d\u00edas despu\u00e9s de una operaci\u00f3n. Las conductas poco profesionales incluidas en los informes sobre los cirujanos se refer\u00edan a la comunicaci\u00f3n educada y clara, el incumplimiento de los deberes profesionales, la falta de honestidad y la atenci\u00f3n inadecuada.<\/p>\n

Los resultados del estudio muestran que los pacientes operados por cirujanos que fueron informados por los compa\u00f1eros de trabajo ten\u00edan una mayor probabilidad de experimentar una complicaci\u00f3n posquir\u00fargica que los pacientes operados por cirujanos sin informes de los compa\u00f1eros de trabajo.<\/p>\n

Los resultados del estudio tambi\u00e9n indicaron que cuantos m\u00e1s informes de mala conducta tuviera un cirujano, m\u00e1s complicaciones habr\u00eda. Los pacientes con cirujanos que ten\u00edan hasta tres informes ten\u00edan un 18% mayor riesgo de dificultades. Los pacientes con cirujanos que ten\u00edan al menos cuatro informes ten\u00edan un riesgo casi 32% m\u00e1s alto que aquellos cuyos cirujanos no ten\u00edan informes de conducta no profesional en los \u00faltimos tres a\u00f1os antes de su cirug\u00eda.<\/p>\n
