Stephanie Flores Reyes

Stephanie Flores Reyes is a trial attorney at Janicek Law who focuses her practice on wrongful death, medical malpractice, birth injury, and obstetrical negligence litigation. She represents families affected by catastrophic and preventable medical harm and is committed to preparing every case with the discipline and rigor required for trial.

 

A first-generation lawyer born and raised in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Stephanie is deeply dedicated to serving and empowering underrepresented communities. She approaches her work with both cultural awareness and unwavering advocacy, particularly in cases involving vulnerable families harmed by institutional negligence.

 

Stephanie earned her J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where she was named a Justice John Paul Stevens Public Interest Fellow in recognition of her commitment to public service. Through that fellowship, she worked with Texas RioGrande Legal Aid in Laredo, advocating for individuals facing complex legal challenges. She also served as an editor of the Oil and Gas, Natural Resources, and Energy Journal, sharpening the research and analytical precision that now supports her work in complex medical litigation.

 

Before joining Janicek Law, Stephanie practiced in insurance defense, where she handled personal injury litigation involving motor vehicle collisions and premises liability. That experience gave her direct insight into how insurance carriers evaluate, defend, and attempt to minimize serious injury and wrongful death claims. She now uses that knowledge strategically when litigating cases involving hospital failures, obstetrical negligence, surgical errors, and systemic breakdowns in patient safety.

 

At Janicek Law, Stephanie is actively involved in all phases of litigation, including case investigation, expert development, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation. She approaches each case with clarity, discipline, and a strong commitment to accountability in the courtroom.

 

Away from the office, Stephanie enjoys nature walks, photography, and discovering new restaurants in the San Antonio area.
